Craig P. Gilmartin

Craig P. Gilmartin is a founding member of Gilmartin, Magence & Ross LLP, and was formerly a principal of Apostolica, Gilmartin, Donovan & Donovan, in Boston. Mr. Gilmartin concentrates his practice in legal areas relating to the acquisition, development, financing and sale of residential real estate, including, in particular, condominium development. In addition, he represents clients in connection with general business acquisitions and sales. Mr. Gilmartin was raised in Levittown, New York. He is a 1978 graduate of Boston College and a 1981 graduate of New England School of Law. Mr. Gilmartin has been a guest lecturer for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Service, Inc., and is a contributing author of its volume entitled Handling Residential Real Estate Transactions in Massachusetts. Mr. Gilmartin is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New York.

Yitz Magence

Yitz Magence joined Gilmartin, Magence and Ross LLP as a partner in February of 2000 and is located in our Newton office. Mr. Magence is a 1981 graduate of Washington University School of Law and also has a degree from the IT Research Institute in Jerusalem, Israel. Mr. Magence concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate law and secured transactions. Mr. Magence has been a guest lecturer for the title insurance industry, the Massachusetts Bar Association, and is a contributing author of its volume entitled How to Handle a Residential Real Estate Closing.

Steven A. Ross

A partner since 1999, Mr. Ross is a 1980 graduate of Cornell University and a 1983 graduate of Boston University School of Law. He concentrates his practice in the area of real estate law and corporate law, representing buyers, sellers and lenders in both residential and commercial transactions. He also has a private lending practice and represents various businesses on an ongoing basis.

Eric A. Cataldo

Eric A. Cataldo has been with Gilmartin, Magence & Ross LLP since May of 2001 when he joined the firm as a law clerk. Born and raised in Rome, New York, he is a 1999 graduate of Boston College and a 2002 graduate of Suffolk University Law School. Mr. Cataldo is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and concentrates his practice in condominium conversions, representing developers in projects that range in size from three units to more than three hundred units. His practice also includes representing buyers and sellers in purchase and sale negotiations as well as representing lenders in residential real estate closings.

Gina M. Gagliardi

A 1989 graduate of Boston College, and a 1993 graduate of Suffolk University Law School, Ms. Gagliardi works on general real estate matters, including representing buyers, sellers and lenders, as well as condominium development. Ms. Gagliardi has also represented a family owned construction company. She speaks fluent Italian.

Jesse Geller

Jesse Geller is a partner of the firm and concentrates his practice in commercial and residential real estate (including acquisition, development, financing, leasing and sale), financial transactions, loan workout and general business matters. Mr. Geller’s practice also includes the representation of owners and operators in connection with the acquisition, development, financing and operation of restaurants. Mr. Geller was born in Chinon, France and grew up in Gloucester, Massachusetts. He is a 1983 graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a 1986 graduate of Boston University School of Law. Mr. Geller is an officer and director of the Yavneh Corporation and an Associate Member of the Town of Brookline Zoning Board of Appeals. Mr. Geller is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.

Neil D. Golden

Neil D. Golden joined the firm as a partner in August of 2005 and was formerly a principal of Apostolica, Golden, Donovan & Donovan and Adelson, Golden, Loria & Simons. A graduate of Boston College and Boston College Law School, he specializes in representing law firms in complex title matters. In addition, he represents real estate developers in the areas of multi-family development and condominium projects. He also represents mortgage lenders, buyers and sellers in residential real estate acquisition and financing. Mr. Golden has acted as real estate counsel to various state agencies, particularly in the area of complex title issues. He has lectured previously for the MCLE, Massachusetts Conveyancers Association and the Boston Bar Association and is a member of The Title Standards Committee of the Real Estate Bar Association and a member of The Abstract Club.

Jodi M. Landau

Jodi M. Landau is of counsel to Gilmartin, Magence & Ross LLP, as of January of 2001. Ms. Landau was previously with the firm of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky & Popeo, P.C., of Boston. Prior to that, she was with the firm of Hale & Dorr LLP. She is a 1980 graduate of Tufts University and a 1984 graduate of Boston College Law School. Ms. Landau concentrates her practice in residential real estate, including the representation of buyers, sellers, lenders and developers.

Sarah Larner

Sarah Larner joined Gilmartin, Magence & Ross LLP in September 2004. She is a 1995 graduate of Northeastern University and a 1998 graduate of Suffolk University Law School. Ms. Larner concentrates her practice in the area of real estate law, representing lenders, buyers, developers and sellers in residential and commercial transactions including acquisitions, sales and condominium development. Darly G. David Mevs

Darly G. David Mevs joined Gilmartin, Magence & Ross LLP in May of 2003. Mrs. David Mevs was born in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a 1997 graduate of Syracuse University and a 2000 graduate of Suffolk University Law School, where she served as a member of the Suffolk Transnational Law Review. She concentrates her practice in the area of real estate law, representing lenders, buyers, developers, and sellers in residential transactions, specializing in condominium development. Mrs. David Mevs is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, and the Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys Association.

Andrea Papanek

Andrea Papanek re-joined Gilmartin, Magence & Ross LLP in September 2001, and is the firm’s Director of Operations. Prior to joining the firm, she was an associate in the law firm of Holland & Knight LLP. Ms. Papanek is a 1988 graduate of Boston College and a 1994 cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School. She is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Bar Association and serves as a member of the Town of Marblehead Zoning Board of Appeals.

Erik Potter

Erik Potter is a 2001 graduate of Boston College and a 2005 graduate of Suffolk University Law School, who joined GMR as a law clerk in 2004. He concentrates in Foreclosure and Bankruptcy Law. His practice also includes condominium conversions, representing buyers and sellers in purchase and sales negotiations as well as representing lenders in residential real estate closings.

Joshua T. Ribner joined Gilmartin, Magence & Ross LLP in 2007. He is a 2000 graduate of New England School of Law and a 1997 graduate of Hamilton College.
